In the Old Testament, God commanded His people to use Hyssopus in the ceremonial cleansing of people and houses. Hyssop appears at Jesus’ crucifixion, when the Roman soldiers offered Jesus a drink of wine vinegar on a sponge at the end of a stalk of hyssop.

Hyssop oil is said to have anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant.
CAUTION: Since it is a very potent oil, low dosage may be advisable though many Aromatherapists avoid using it altogether. Certainly people suffering from epilepsy and high blood pressure should stay clear of it. Not to be used during pregnancy.
